According to Bloomberg’s well-known insider Mark Gurman, Apple will retain the overall design of the iPhone 17 Pro, keeping it similar to the current iPhone 16 Pro. However, there will be one notable change — a redesigned rear camera layout.
Gurman reports that Apple plans to change the positioning of the rear camera modules to improve ergonomics and possibly accommodate new hardware. Specifics on the new layout have not been disclosed, but it’s expected to be visually different and may affect compatibility with previous-generation accessories.
Other design elements — including the titanium frame (used in Pro models), display sizes, and flat edges — are likely to remain unchanged.
Rumors also suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro may receive hardware upgrades, such as a more power-efficient chip, an improved front-facing camera, and possibly a smaller Dynamic Island cutout, though none of this has been officially confirmed.
As usual, Apple has not commented on any leaks or future product plans. The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to launch in fall 2025.
