Google has begun rolling out Google Photos integration within its Gemini app on Android devices. This feature allows users to search and retrieve images from their Google Photos library using natural language prompts.
To enable this feature, users can navigate to the Gemini app's profile menu, select "Apps," and activate Google Photos under the "Media" section. Once enabled, users can issue commands like "Find my photos of Alex" or "Show my photos from last summer" to access specific images. Additionally, users can inquire about details within their photos, such as "What did we eat at the hotel in Stanly?"
Currently, this integration is available to a select group of users in the United States and supports English-language prompts. Google plans to expand access to more users and regions in the future.
This development enhances the functionality of the Gemini app, providing users with a more intuitive way to interact with their photo libraries through voice
and text commands.
