Snapchat has introduced a new Footsteps feature for iOS users, allowing them to track all the places they've visited and shared snaps from. The feature works only when Ghost Mode, which hides the user’s location, is disabled. Footsteps not only tracks new places but can also use saved Memories to include past trips.
This feature, previously available only to Snapchat+ subscribers, is now rolling out to all iOS users. The data is private and accessible only by the account holder. Users also have the option to delete their Footsteps history if they no longer wish to use it.
Snapchat also launched an AI Video feature that generates videos from text prompts, though it is currently available only to Creators. Additionally, new AI Lenses allow users to see themselves as older versions, and the AI tools have been integrated into Snapchat Memories.
