The OnePlus 13 is expected to be unveiled next month as the company’s flagship smartphone, with reports suggesting it could be one of the first devices to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. A tipster has leaked an image showing a redesigned rear camera layout, claiming the handset will also include an upgraded periscope camera that surpasses the one found on the OnePlus 12.
According to a leak from Digital Chat Station, an image shows the rumored OnePlus 13 in a protective case. Unlike the OnePlus 12, which had a similar camera design to its predecessors, the new flagship is expected to feature a revamped camera island. The image leaves it unclear whether OnePlus will stick with a circular camera module.
The leaked information points to an upgraded periscope camera sensor for the OnePlus 13. While the tipster didn’t provide further details about the camera hardware, they revealed that the phone would share the same image processing algorithms as the upcoming Oppo Find X8 series. This, combined with OnePlus’ partnership with Hasselblad, could make the OnePlus 13 one of the strongest contenders for mobile photography.
Previous leaks suggest the OnePlus 13 will feature a 50MP primary camera with a Sony LYT-808 sensor and f/1.6 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. More details are expected to surface in the coming weeks ahead of the phone’s launch.
