Infinix has introduced its new AI platform to enhance the AI experiences across its devices. The central feature of this platform is Folax, a virtual assistant powered by AI, capable of processing text, voice, and image inputs. Folax generates real-time responses and can handle tasks typically assigned to chatbots. While the specific smartphones set to receive these updates have not been confirmed, the platform promises several new features.
The consumer tech brand introduced its AI platform, which is designed to deliver advanced AI capabilities, similar to Samsung's Galaxy AI and Google's Gemini Nano on Pixel phones. Folax has been upgraded with both proprietary and external AI models, such as GPT-4o and Gemini.
In addition to Folax, Infinix revealed several other AI features coming to its devices. Live Texts is a text summarization tool that can extract information from both documents and images. The Writing Tools feature offers real-time grammar correction, content rewriting, and style enhancements, helping users craft emails, reports, or creative content while optimizing clarity, tone, and precision.
The Magic Create tool is aimed at creative tasks, enabling users to generate songs, storyboards, and social media captions. Users can input concepts, and the AI transforms them into complete creations. Visual Look Up provides contextual information from images, especially useful for landmarks and cultural sites.
Infinix also introduced AI Wallpaper, which generates custom wallpapers based on regional and cultural themes. Personal images can be transformed into unique, culturally relevant wallpapers.
Other features include AI Eraser, which removes unwanted elements from images, and AI Sketch, which turns rough diagrams into polished designs. Both of these are already available in Galaxy AI.
