Samsung is rolling out the One UI 5 Watch software update, based on Wear OS 4, for the Galaxy Watch 5 series in South Korea. This update, previously available for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, introduces enhanced health sensors, improved SOS functionality, sleep tracking, and personalized heart rate zone information for all Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro users.
According to a report by Sammobile, users in South Korea can now download the latest One UI 5 Watch update through the Galaxy Wearable app. The update includes a new Sleep Insights UI, an enhanced SOS feature, and real-time running analysis with personalized heart rate zones.
Furthermore, this update adds new watch faces and Tiles, including the Galaxy Buds Tile for 360 Audio control. Users can now set photo albums as wallpapers, rather than a single image.
Additional features include the ability to pair the smartwatch with a new phone without a factory reset, control call volume via Galaxy Buds, and voice dictation support. The One UI 5 Watch update also provides insights into battery status, storage information, and memory.
To get the One UI 5 Watch update, users should navigate to the Galaxy Wearable app > Watch settings > Watch software update, and select Download and install. It is recommended to download the update over a WiFi network.
