OnePlus has officially announced the release date for OxygenOS 14, its custom software skin built on Android 14. The rollout is set for later this month, with OnePlus 11 5G, OnePlus 11R, and OnePlus Nord 3 expected to be among the first to receive this update.
OxygenOS 14 introduces the Trinity Engine, designed to enhance hardware-software integration. OnePlus has already released a beta version for the OnePlus Nord 3 5G.
In a press release, OnePlus confirmed the global rollout of the stable OxygenOS 14 on September 25, claiming it to be one of the first operating systems based on Android 14.
The update promises a range of new features to enhance the overall user experience, with Trinity Engine leading the charge in integrating hardware and software for improved power efficiency, multitasking, and overall performance.
The phone originally launched with Oxygen OS 13.1 based on Android 13, limited to the first 500 users.
The company also acknowledged some issues in the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 beta, including missing charging icons, phantom phone ringing, photo album misordering, Google Contacts glitches, and more. An Open Beta program for the OnePlus Nord 3 5G is expected soon.
